Three Pretty Good Things: Thursday

1. Happy Valentine's Day! I found this beautiful bouquet on the kitchen table when I came home from studying today. Only one lily is blooming right now and the kitchen already smells fabulous. Phil got the lilies because I'd mentioned in Sunday how good they smelled in church. 2. The lucky Bar Exam pencil has come full circle. Growing a Scent

There's a new friend in our backyard-a jasmine plant! When we were at Home Depot a few weekends ago, we walked past some jasmine plants. The smell wafted past my nose and immediately compelled (literally forced, I could not resist) me to put a pot in our cart. I've never grown a jasmine before, but it's one of my very favorite scents. The Little Things

Sometimes in the middle of chaos, it's the little things that help so much. We're in the middle of packing up the kitchen this weekend. It's been chaos for sure. But the peonies in the backyard started blooming this week. So I clipped a few for my bottle garland, which I refuse to pack until the last minute now that there are peonies to fill it with. Ahhh. Life Update

We're looking at a busy next few months for our household. Big picture: I'll be graduating from law school; we'll become landlords for the first time; we'll become Texans; we'll celebrate Jaye's first year of life. Of course, there are a lot of little steps to get us to those four biggies. This weekend: I have my second to last class in law school ever.
